Three information labels
A fighting game moves fast. Some things are settled facts, some are our read on a meta that is still forming, and some are what the community has worked out and shared. Those are not the same kind of information, so we label them differently rather than blending them into one confident voice.
Information that comes from the publisher or developer — the PlayStation Blog, the official Steam announcements, the in-game release, or the official character guide videos. Cited in the Sources line at the foot of the page.
Our own judgement: tier placements, strength and weakness calls, team recommendations, and how we read a patch. Carries the patch version and the date it was written, because judgement expires.
Combo routes, tech and troubleshooting steps worked out by players. Carries a named source — a specific wiki page, video, thread or creator — and the date we recorded it.
How we publish
Official first-party sources are preferred for factual claims, and a single official source is enough for us to publish a fact. Our own analysis is published as analysis, with the reasoning visible, so you can disagree with it on the merits.
When sources conflict, we publish the conflict rather than hiding it — for example, noting that a store page and a support page state different things. The disagreement is itself useful information.
Where a value simply is not known, we leave it out. We do not fill gaps with estimates presented as data. Frame data is a good example: we do not publish our own frame data, because we cannot verify it to that standard, so we link out to Dustloop instead.
AI tools are used in production — transcribing official videos, gathering community consensus, and drafting copy. Nothing is published without a human reading it first, and AI is never used to invent a number, a frame value, or an experience we did not have.
Prices and time-sensitive claims
Prices carry their region, currency, platform and the date we last checked them. Patch coverage carries the patch date. A page that depends on the current version says which version it describes.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we would rather know. Corrections go to our contact page, and pages that change materially get their date updated. URLs stay stable so links keep working.
Independence
TokonGuide is an independent fan site with no relationship to Marvel, Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation or Arc System Works. Where a page carries an affiliate link it is disclosed on that page. Commercial relationships do not influence tier placements, recommendations or any other editorial judgement.
Images
Character and key art on this site is official promotional material from the publisher, used to illustrate coverage of the game. Every image is recorded internally with its source, the rights holder and the date it was retrieved. We do not take images from other guide sites, wikis or search results. TokonGuide claims no ownership of any of it, and we will remove any asset at the rights holder's request — contact us.
