This policy explains what information TokonGuide ("we", "us") collects when you visit https://tokonguide.com, and how it is used. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
TokonGuide has no user accounts and does not ask you for personal information such as your name, address or payment details. We do not collect that data, and we do not sell any data.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — for example which pages are popular, roughly which region visitors come from, and what device type they use. This is used to improve the site. Both process this data on our behalf under their own terms.
TokonGuide also displays third-party advertising. Advertising partners and their own partners use cookies, device identifiers, web beacons and your IP address to serve and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same ad.
Advertising
We work with the following advertising partners:
- Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Adsterra. Adsterra and its demand partners may set their own cookies or identifiers to deliver and measure the ads shown on this site. See the Adsterra privacy policy.
Some of these ads may be personalised — selected using data about your browsing across other websites. You can turn personalised advertising off, or see why a particular ad was shown to you, at Google My Ad Center. Turning it off does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant. If you are in the EEA or the UK, a consent banner asks for your choices before non-essential advertising cookies are set, and you can change that choice at any time from the banner.
Ads are clearly separated from our editorial content and labelled. We do not control which specific ads appear, and an advertiser appearing here is not an endorsement.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. TokonGuide uses them in three ways:
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to measure aggregate usage.
- Advertising cookies set by Google AdSense, Adsterra and their partners to serve, cap and measure ads, as described above.
- Affiliate cookies — when an affiliate link is present and you click it, the affiliate network (for example Green Man Gaming, Fanatical or Instant Gaming) may set its own cookie so a resulting purchase can be attributed. These are set by the store, not by us.
Affiliate links & disclosure
TokonGuide participates in affiliate programs. Some outbound store links may be affiliate links, and we may earn a small commission if you buy through them — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our tier lists, recommendations or editorial content.
Third-party services
The third parties that process visitor data on this site are Google (Google Analytics and Google AdSense), Ahrefs (Web Analytics) and Adsterra (advertising). When affiliate links are present, the linked stores and their affiliate networks also process data under their own privacy policies once you click through to them. We link out to official stores and reputable community sources; we are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's official opt-out browser add-on.
- You can turn off personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center, or opt out across many ad networks at once via YourAdChoices and Your Online Choices (EU).
- Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK or California), you may have rights to access or request deletion of any personal data relating to you. Because we don't hold account data, this usually only concerns analytics; email us and we'll help.
Children
TokonGuide is a general-audience gaming site and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example if we add or remove an advertising or affiliate partner. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
